US Supreme Court to review bans on trans athletes in female sports

The United States Supreme Court approved to review whether the state laws can prevent sexually transformed athletes from competition in women and girls.

The case relates to laws in the state of Idaho and West Virginia, where the two Taliban converted to a judicial order from the minimum courts, which allows them to continue the competition.

How the Supreme Court rules can have significant effects throughout the country.

It comes two weeks after the conservative majority court Ended by the Tennessee Law, which prohibits gender transitional care for youth – The referee that some defenders say they had a major blow to the rights of transgender people in the United States.

The Supreme Court will review the cases of Beckber Jackson, 15, and Lindsay Hikox, 24, who has succeeded in the challenges of the state in West Virginia and Idahu on the pretext that it is discriminatory.

Idaho was the first country to pass a law prohibiting sexually transformed athletes from competition in gynecology and girls. After that, I followed two other countries.

Mrs. HECOX, a long -distance runner, presented a legal challenge against the Idahu Law in 2020 shortly after his age. It was later granted by a judicial order by the provincial court and the Court of Appeal.

“The boys and men will not be able to replace girls and women in sport because they are not fair,” said the state’s legislator Barbara Ehradat, who submitted the law at the time of his death.

However, in the appeal decision, a committee of three judges found that the Idahu state law violated the constitutional rights, and that the state “failed” to provide evidence that the law protects “sexual equality and the opportunity for mathematics.”

Public Prosecutor in Western Virginia, John McCosky, supported the Supreme Court.

He said: “The people of Western Virginia know that it is not fair to allow male athletes to compete against women. For this reason, we passed this proper law to preserve women’s sports for women.”

Joshua Block of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which represents athletes, insisted that the minimum courts were correct in preventing “discriminatory laws”.

“Excluding children categorically from school sports just because they are transgendering will not make our schools less safe and brilliant for all young people,” he said.

The Supreme Court is likely to affect the case on other countries that have a similar ban.

On the federal level, President Donald Trump signed an executive order earlier this year aimed at For sexually transformed women and girls from competing for female sports teams.

The Supreme Court will hear challenges during its next term, which begins in October. Hearing date has not yet been determined.
