Trump again called Georgia republican “Traitor,” referring to Greene’s alliance with Republican Rep. Tom Massie of Kentucky, who sponsored the bill demanding the release of Jeffrey Epstein Files by the Ministry of Justice.

Greene, who has been a close ally of Trump for years, was martyred Backlash from the president Because of her defense of the bill in her statement, saying that her last day in House of Representatives It will be January 5th.

“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown, due to her low poll numbers, and not wanting to face a primary challenger with a strong Trump endorsement (where she would have no chance of winning!), has decided to call it quits,” Trump wrote early Saturday in a tweet. Truth is a social function.

“Her relationship with the worst Republican member of Congress in decades, Tom Massie of Kentucky, also known as Rand Paul Jr. because he votes against the GOP (and really good legislation!) has not helped her,” Trump said.

“For some reason, primarily because I refused to answer her and her never-ending barrage of phone calls, Marjorie became bad,” he wrote.

“However, I will always appreciate Marjorie and thank her for her service to our country.”

Trump had opposed the bill ordering the release of the Epstein files until the last minute. This week, the bill was approved in the House by a near-unanimous vote, then passed unanimously in the Senate. The president then signed it into law.

Trump spoke with NBC News later Saturday morning about Greene, saying “it’s not going to be easy” for her to have a future in Republican politics.

“I would love to see that,” Trump told NBC.

“She should get some rest,” he said.

“I can work things out with anyone,” Trump said when asked if he thought he could reconcile with Greene.

Trump said last week that he would support “the right person” if she challenges Greene in next year’s Republican primary for her seat representing Georgia’s 14th District.

“I have so much self-respect and dignity, I love my family so much, and I do not want my beautiful district to have to endure a painful and hateful primary against me by the president we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms,” Greene wrote in her resignation statement Friday night.

“In return, I will be expected to defend the president from impeachment after he has hurled tens of millions of dollars against me and tried to destroy me,” Greene said.

“I refuse to be a ‘battered wife’ hoping that everything will go away and get better.”

“Standing up for American women who were raped when they were 14, trafficked and used by rich, powerful men should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States of America, for whom I fought.”
