Smoke billows from luxury yacht fire in St Tropez

Social media videos show black smoke with a luxurious yacht on fire in St. Trops in French Riviera on Thursday.

The fire occurred on the Sea Lady II, a 41 -meter boat that sleeps up to 10 guests and can be hired from 65,000 euros (56,000 pounds) per week.

The firefighters initially struggled to reach the plane to contain the fire, while emergency services quickly moved away from the surrounding yacht and placed anti -spot barriers.

The officials said the boat was likely to drown in the port and the cause of the fire was still being investigated.
