Recognition of Palestinian state is ‘disastrous’, US ambassador says

Mike Hakapi, the US ambassador to Israel, said what Laura Quinzberg said from BBC that plans to recognize a Palestinian state had “serious consequences.”

Prime Minister Sir Kerr Starmer said that the United Kingdom will learn about a Palestinian state in September unless Israel meets certain conditions, including the agreement to a ceasefire in Gaza and revive the possibility of a solution in the two countries.

Australia, France, Japan and Canada have all issued similar ads to support recognition of a Palestinian state.

The Israeli government says that recognition “rewards brutal terrorism for Hamas”, and that there is “no [Palestinian] Peace partner. “

The state of Palestine is currently being recognized by 147 UN member states 193.

France, Canada and the United Kingdom will be the first G7 states to do so.
