Russia rejected calls for a ceasefire with its forces in Ukraine’s progress

President Vladimir Putin said Russia will achieve all its goals by force if Ukraine does not agree to a deal.

Putin said: “It seems to me that if the sound logic prevails, it will be possible to agree on an acceptable solution to end this conflict,” Putin said. “If not, we will have to solve all our military tasks.”

He praised the “sincere desire” by Donald Trump to find a solution – a day after the American president said he was “disappointed” in Putin, in the wake of Russia’s attacks in Ukraine since the Alaska summit.

Trump tried to persuade Putin to meet Ukraine President Volodimir Zelinsky, but the Russian leader did not agree to do so.

“I have never ruled out the possibility of such a meeting. But is there any point? Let’s see,” he said.

He added that any such meeting requires a preparation introduction to achieving results, and that Zelinski can always go to Moscow to see him – an “unacceptable” idea, as the Secretary of State in Ukraine was fast to refer.

Ukraine president highlights Putin’s refusal to fulfill as a way to urge Trump to impose sanctions on Russia and increase Ukraine’s defenses.

Russia launched a large -scale invasion of its neighbor in February 2022.

Putin was speaking in Beijing after attending a huge military parade hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The event – also attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and about 20 other countries – was also seen as a challenge to the global global system dominated by the United States.

Trump did not pass without one of those who wrote on his social media platform: “Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un when you conspire against the United States of America.”

In response to a question from Russian television journalists whether the war in Ukraine may end soon, the Russian leader said, “There is a specific light at the end of the tunnel.”

But he continued to emphasize that Russia would not abandon the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine, which its forces seized.

The Russian leader repeated his demand for Ukraine not to seek to become a member of NATO and stop what he called discrimination against the ethnic Russians – one of the allegations mentioned as an excuse for the invasion.

Putin has hinted that security guarantees that Western allies of Ukraine have promised to provide Kiev after a future peace agreement that will not be linked to the regions of Donbas whose residents chose to join Russia-in a reference to the voices that were widely filmed in the aftermath of the annexation.

On Thursday, the French President will host a meeting of the so-called coalition for borrowers-a group of Ukraine allies.

A source in élysée, Macron’s office, said that the group wants to secure American support for a plan to pressure Russia to agree to the ceasefire, as the allies extend security guarantees to Ukraine immediately, instead of waiting for a peace agreement.

President Trump pressed Putin to a ceasefire during their Alaska’s summit last month, but he then got out of the talks that the search for a peace deal would be a better way to end the conflict.

Putin has rejected the invitations of the armistice and his forces have intensified attacks on Ukrainian cities. More than 500 aircraft were launched from 500 Russell and 24 Cruise missiles on Wednesday evening.
