Pope Francis’ last public appearance on Easter Sunday

The last public appearance of Pope Francis was for the Easter Pond in the Saint Peter’s Square.

It was not known at the time if the Pope would join the service after being discharged from the hospital last month, after five weeks of treatment due to the infection that led to poor pneumonia.

He died at the age of 88.
