Palestinians killed in new Israeli Gaza strikes, says Hamas-run agency

The Hamas Civil Defense Agency said that at least 55 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air strikes in Gaza, the Hamas -run by the Hamas Civil Defense Agency said.

This comes after Israel’s resumption of bombs and ground operations in the region this week, as air strikes killed more than 430 people over two days, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health.

Hamas says that the ground operation announced by Israel on Wednesday is a “new and dangerous” violation of the ceasefire deal, which started in January. Israel resumed the attacks on Tuesday, when talks failed to extend the deal to advance.

Israel has warned that the attacks would be condensed in Gaza until the enthusiasm of the remaining hostages will launch.

Israel says Hamas is still carrying 59 hostages, and it is believed that 24 of them are alive.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Thursday that it had started “targeted ground activities” to create what was called a “partial buffer between the north and the south” in Gaza. The procedure called the “Limited Earth Operation”.

The Israeli Defense Army spokesman, Colonel Avichai Adri, said that the forces had been deployed to a sector center known as the Netzarim corridor, which is divided north and south of Gaza.

On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he “resumed the fighting with its full power” and will now be negotiations for a ceasefire “under fire.”

Israel and Hamas failed to agree to how to take the ceasefire after the first stage, which expired on March 1.

Hamas did not agree to re -negotiate the ceasefire on Israel’s conditions, although it offered the release of a living American hostage and four hostages while the mediators tried to continue the ceasefire.

Israel prevented all food, fuel and medical supplies entering Gaza at the beginning of March to pressure Hamas. Hamas was accused of estimating rulings as part of its strategy against Israel, although no evidence was presented.

The war arose due to Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people, especially civilians, and 251 others were killed. Twenty -five Israeli and five Thai hostages were launched alive during the first stage of the ceasefire.

Israel responded to the October attack with a huge military attack, which killed more than 48,500 Palestinians, especially civilians, before Israel resumed its campaign, according to the Hamas -running Ministry of Health. The Israeli attack also caused huge amounts of destruction of homes and infrastructure.
