Many NATO members send forces, artillery, and air defense systems to secure its eastern wing, after what Poland called an unprecedented penetration into the field of aircraft in the airspace.

In the early hours of Wednesday, three Russian drones were shot down after crossing into the Polish airspace.

Other drones were crashed on the ground and were later found across eastern Poland.

Poland requested a United Nations Security Council session on the accident, which will be held on Friday at 19:00 GMT.

In response to the incursion of drones, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic said they would send defenses to Poland, while Lithuania will receive a German brigade and warn more Russian attacks on Ukraine that could cross.

Germany also said it “will increase its participation along the eastern border of NATO” and extend and expand the air police over Poland.

In his speech to Parliament on Thursday, the Polish Defense Minister, Petslaw Kusiniac Kamiz included support from Poland partners, saying that the Dutch was deploying air defense and artillery systems and 300 soldiers, while the Czech Republic sends helicopters and 100 soldiers.

He also said that the French and the British can deploy aircraft to secure the eastern side of NATO.

“I have heard Poland again and again words of solidarity and empty gestures throughout its history,” said Koseniac Cames. “Today, we have concrete ads.”

Although drones and Russian missiles have been subjected to some NATO member states before, this was the most dangerous accident of its kind since Moscow launched a large scale of Ukraine in February 2022.

The Kremlin said he had no additional comment to be submitted to allegations that Russia has deliberately sought tensions in Poland.

However, many Polish and European leaders believe that the incursion was deliberate.

“This Russian provocation … is nothing more than an attempt to test our capabilities,” said Poland President Carol Noruki.

However, expert opinions are divided on whether Moscow is aimed at launching drones to Poland.

On Thursday, the great military commander of NATO Alexos Greenkoch acknowledged that he was not yet known whether the act was intended and said even the exact number of drones that crossed the Polish air area still had to be determined.

But in the face of increased tension from the countries adjacent to Russia, NATO or Poland take no chances.

General Greencotch said that Lithuania will be provided with greater warning of Russian air launch operations against Ukraine, which risk crossing to Lithuania, as well as a German brigade as deterrence and defense.

The map shows the area where the drone attack occurred overnight. With Poland, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine named. The brand for the place where the drone was found, CZOSNUWKA, is a village in eastern Poland, about 40 km (25 miles) from the border with Belarus. There are also stickers to show where four temporary airports were closed in Poland, including two in Warsaw, due to a drone strike.

Warsaw will put restrictions on drones and the small air movement along its eastern border with Belarus and Ukraine, and Latvia announced that the oriental air field will be closed for a week.

Ukraine President Voludmir Zelinski offered to provide guidance and training to Western military representatives on how to accept Russian air attacks as the Ukrainian Defense Forces do on a near -night basis.

Zelinski also called for a joint air defense system to work as an air shield over Europe as a reaction to Russia’s “rude” behavior.

In addition to the perceived anxiety in some places of Eastern Europe, the joint military exercises between Belarus and Russia, which is called Zabad 2025, are scheduled to start on Friday.

Poland said it would close its borders with Belarus on Thursday “for reasons related to national security … with regard to Zabad’s maneuvers,” which was called “very aggressive.”

The previous ZAPAD exercises were organized several months before the start of the war in Ukraine and shared about 200,000 soldiers in total.

This year’s exercise will be smaller in size, according to the head of the Lystone Military Intelligence, Mendogas Mazazas, and includes up to 30,000 soldiers.

US President Donald Trump’s response to the drone was so far. “What does Russia violate the airspace of Poland with drones? Here we go!” He wrote on social media on Wednesday without explaining more.

Polish President Noruki said that he and his American counterpart had spoken as a “part of a series of consultations” with the allies and said that the talks “reaffirmed our unity.”
