Moment rescuers pull woman alive from rubble

Myanmar rescuers withdrew a woman alive from the wreckage of a residential bloc that collapsed in Mandalay, more than a day after her besieged.

After several hours of strenuous work, the 30 -year -old Phyu Lay khaing was withdrawn from debris and carried by a stretcher as passers -by chanted.

She embraced her husband before she was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.

More than 1,600 people were killed in Myanmar, and thousands were injured after an earthquake of 7.7 on Friday, which also caused great damage to neighboring countries.
