The explosion was made in a Russian ammunition warehouse, Moscow, military authorities and local media.
The explosion occurred in the ammunition depot in a defense facility in the West Vladimir area on Tuesday. The site is believed to be a major ammunition storage site for the Russian army.
The Russian army reported the explosions, saying that the ammunition had exploded after the storage building was caught in it due to “safety violations”, government media reported.
The state of emergency was announced in the Kirchach area and the residents of the nearby villages were evacuated.
Both Russian and Ukrainian media channels and Telegram accounts have published videos and photos from the site, which show a large fire with high fire and clouds of mushrooms from the explosion.
The Russian media said the Ministry of Defense, saying: “As a result of a fire on the lands of a military unit in the Vladimir area, ammunition was stored in a warehouse.”
The site is a facility in the 51st Arsenal of the Missile and Artillery Directorate, about 130 km (80 miles) northeast of the Russian capital, according to local media.
The governor of Vladimir said that the explosion took place in the area and more details will be released at a later time.
Alexander Affadiev also threatened journalists and residents with fines if they participated in informal information about the explosion.
