A federal judge in the United States has canceled Donald Trump’s defamation of $ 15 billion against the New York Times, citing cases with its contents.
The American boycott judge, Stephen Miri Day, said in his ruling on Friday that Trump violated a federal base asking the applicants to determine a “short and clear statement” why they deserve to be exempted from the court.
The judge said that the legal complaint is not “a protected platform for anger against the opponent.” Trump gave 28 days to file a modified complaint.
Trump indicated that the New York Times will sue earlier this week in a post on the social truth, claiming that the newspaper “allowed her to lie freely and distort me for a very long time.”
The New York Times responded to the lawsuit by saying it “has no advantage.”
The newspaper said in a statement earlier this week: “It lacks any legitimate legal claims and instead it is an attempt to strangle and install independent reports,” the newspaper said in a statement earlier this week.
On Friday, Judge Merryday said that the lawsuit filed by Trump was “frequent” and “extra”.
The 85 -page lawsuit was filed in the Federal Court in Tampa earlier this week. It is also called Penguin Random House LLC – which was published by a book by Times Reports last year – and accuses the work newspaper as “the tongue” of the Democrats.
Judge Merryday wrote in his decision that even if Trump’s allegations are correct, and even if the lawsuit is interpreted in a “generous and leniency” in a “generous and easy” way, the way he wrote violates the rules of the court, which is “invalid and not healing.”
President Trump nor his lawyer did not respond after Judge Miri Day.
