Italy condemns ‘attack’ on Gaza aid flotilla and deploys frigate

The Minister of Defense in Italy condemned what he said was an attack on drones by the perpetrators of unknown perpetrators on a fleet trying to violate the maritime blockade in Israeli Gaza to provide assistance.

Guido Crosetto also said that he ordered the Italian divorce teams to the navy to go about 52 boats in Somoud Somoud (GSF), which is mostly off off the coast of Crete, to help Italian citizens on board.

GSF said that many boats reported explosions and unidentified things that are dropped, as well as drones in their skies and communications. Israel accused a “dangerous escalation.”

The government of Israel did not comment. But she already said that she would not allow children to reach her destination.

The global Sumud Flotilla campaign has gained imagination in Italy, as many Italian politicians aboard boats.

Representative Arturo Scoto described “sound bombs, flash”, while Mep Benedtta Scuderi spoke about three hours of accidents that she suggested had caused a serious injury.

Uniform video footage of the CCTV released by GSF showed a man on a yacht jumping on the deck after what seemed to be a nearby explosion. The explosion was also visible in a second video clip that GSF was filmed from the ship.

A preliminary statement from GSF said that at least 13 explosions were heard in several boats south and around Crete, and that there are reports that the things that are shot down on at least 10 boats of drones or other aircraft, which does not cause any damage.

Later, she said: “The attacks included the deployment of explosive and incendiary devices, the deliberate dispersion of chemicals on the civilian vessels, and the disruption of communication devices in emergency situations and the calculated physical damage to make ships not worthlessly and volunteer.”

The passengers said on the boats they asked for help from the Greek Coast Guard.

A source of the Coast Guard told the Greece Agency in Greece that a Portuguese ship from the Border Agency of the European Union, FRTEX, was sent to the region, but it did not find any evidence of the material damage to the boat.

Greta Thonberg, the Swedish climate change campaign, is among the prominent supporters in the Palestinians participating in the fleet, the accident as a “intimidation tactic”.

“We were aware of the dangers of this kind of attacks so that nothing would prevent us,” she said in a creative conversation with Francesca Albaniz, a special course in the Palestinian territories.

“We are very designed to continue our mission.”

On Monday, the Israeli Foreign Ministry claimed that the fleet was “organized by Hamas.”

She warned, “Israel will not allow ships to enter the active fighting area and will not allow the violation of the legal maritime blockade.”

“If the real desire of the fleet participants is to provide humanitarian aid instead of serving Hamas, then Israel invites ships to the sidewalk in the Ashkelon Marina and emptying aid there, from where it will be transferred immediately in a coordinated manner to the Gaza Strip.”

GSF said that its goal is to “break the illegal blockade on Gaza by sea, open a humanitarian corridor, and end the continuous genocide of the Palestinian people.”

Two weeks ago, I stated that two ships were targeted in separate drones while installing Tunisia. The Tunisian authorities said they were investigating the claims.

In June, Thunberg was one of 12 people on board an auxiliary ship in Gaza, The Madleen, that was It was intercepted by the Israeli forces, about 185 km west of Gaza.

Another bowl holds 21 people, Hanala was It was intercepted about 75 km from Gaza in July.

GSF boats sailed after experts in the classification of uninterrupted integrated food security (IPC) sailed that there is a famine in Gaza City and warned that it may spread to central and southern Gaza within weeks.

The Hamas -running Ministry of Health in Gaza said that at least 440 Palestinians have died due to the effects of malnutrition since the beginning of the war, including 162 since the announcement of famine.

A spokesman for the President of Human Rights of the United Nations, Volcker Turk, said that he called on Israel to “urgently lift the siege on Gaza and allow the entry of life -saving materials through all possible means.”

Israel also said, “Israel must guarantee” to ensure the food and medical supplies of the population to the maximum extent of the available means, or to facilitate the neutral humanitarian relief plans, which are delivered quickly and without an obstacle.

Israel has insisted that it operate according to international law and facilitate access to aid.

The results of the IPC and the personalities of the Ministry of Health were also opposed, and strongly rejected this claim – which was recently submitted by the United Nations Investigation Committee – that its forces had committed the genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.

The right -wing Italian government of Georgia Meloni in Italy was considered one of the closest Israeli allies in Europe, but the language of Rome in the war in Gaza quickly was largely crucified due to local political pressure.

Opinion polls indicate a shift in positions against Israel, and two days ago, unions managed to summon tens of thousands of Italians to the streets of up to 80 cities and cities in protest.

Although Italy has not joined the United Kingdom and France in recognition of a Palestinian state, Meloni has now approached their sites. I suggested that it does not oppose a proposal in Parliament who recognize Palestine, as long as Hamas liberates all the hostages and that it is excluded from “all government operations.”

The Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas -led attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others took hostage.

At least 65,419 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health in the region.
