Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi says he has an “insight” exchange with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of a summit in China.
The two leaders spent 45 minutes inside the car of the Russian leader – after which Modi posted a picture of their trip alongside the courtesy of Putin.
“They were at home … they felt comfortable there, and for this reason they continued the conversation,” said Putin’s spokesman.
The meeting came after scenes of holding the hand between the spouses, as they were hosted by the eleventh of the eleventh for the Shanghai Cooperation Summit, which is seen as challenging US President Donald Trump and American hegemony at the global level.

Trump has imposed a 50 % tariff for the United States on goods from India as a way to punish Delhi to buy oil and Russian weapons.
Definitions – among the highest rates in the world – include a 25 % penalty for transactions with Russia, which is a major source of funds for its war in Ukraine.
India, a vital strategic American partner in the Indian Pacific Ocean, has not shown any signs of stopping its purchases, and the intimate friendship with Putin appears in Tianjin in the context of Trump’s threats.
Until recently, the United States was the largest commercial partner in India.
For his part, Putin was facing Trump’s deadline to agree to hold peace talks with Ukraine President Volodimir Zelinsky.
Russia said there are no plans for any such meeting.
Speaking at the summit in Tianjin, Putin thanked Chinese and Indian leaders for their support and efforts to “facilitate the solution of the Ukrainian crisis.”
In his speech, Putin also said that “the understandings that arrived” at his meeting with Trump in Alaska last month were “I hope it would move in this direction, and opened the way to peace in Ukraine.”
Putin launched a large -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
On August 22, Trump said he gave Putin “two weeks” to give a response before taking the United States.
This was the latest in a series of warning and final dates he issued to the Russian leader, who ignored them.
Trump had previously said he could solve the Ukraine war in one day.
