India 20-day-old baby girl found buried fighting for life

The hospital authorities say that a 20 -day -old girl was alive in Uttar Pradesh in the north of Uttar Pradesh, fighting for survival.

She was found by chance when a shepherd, who took his pride to the area for grazing, heard dull cries coming from under the ground.

Once he approached, he saw a small hand coming out of the mud. After the villagers were alerted, the police were called to those who came and dug the child.

The police did not say who suspected the crime, but the blaming cases of similar abandonment and attempts to kill children over India’s preferences for their children, which are widely recognized as the cause of its deviant gender.

The accident occurred in the Shahjanbur region in the most populated population. The child is treated in the intensive care unit for newborns at the government’s medical school and the government running there.

The College Director of Medicine told Dr. Rajish Kumar BBC that the infant was brought on Monday, pumped in dirt and plowed for air when she entered clay in her mouth and fear.

Dr. Kumar said: “It was in critical condition, signs of hypoxia or lack of oxygen were showing. She was bitten by insects as well as some animals,” said Dr. Kumar.

“After 24 hours, we saw a slight improvement in her condition, but it has been deteriorated since then. I have developed infection,” he added.

Dr. Kumar said he believed that the child was found shortly after burial because “her wounds were new.”

He said that a team of doctors, including a plastic surgeon, was treating the child and were trying to control her infection.

“The diagnosis is dangerous, but we are doing our best to save it,” he added.

A police official said that their attempts to track the child’s parents had not yet succeeded. The official added that the child assistance line in the state was informed of the child.

The accident in Shahjanbur is not the first time that a child was left to die in India. In 2019, the British Broadcasting Corporation reported a premature child who was found alive in the clay container. After weeks in the hospital, the doctors said she had her Restore.

India is known to have one of the worst sex rates in the world. Women face social discrimination for life and girls are seen as a financial burden, especially among poor societies.

Activists say that the traditional preference of children means that millions of females have been lost to ETRID and go through the years.

Although most unwanted female embryos are frustrated with the help of illegal sex clinics, cases of killing young girls after birth are not common either.
