Erling Haaland became the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League Two goals put Manchester City 1-0 ahead against Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday.
Haaland reached the hundred in his 111th appearance, beating Alan Shearer’s long-standing tally of 124 appearances. The Norwegian striker is the 35th player to reach the 100th club.
Haaland was supposed to put City ahead within six minutes after blazing the ball on goal, but he hit the inside post just when he looked certain to score.
The 25-year-old scored the opener in the pouring London rain for his 15th league goal of the season, meeting Jeremy Doku’s low cross from the left flank with a left-footed shot.
City can reduce Arsenal’s lead over them at the top of the standings to two points if they win, although Arsenal will play their postponed match at home against Brentford on Wednesday.
