Mother BBC told her five -year -old daughter who has lost nearly half of her body weight due to famine in Gaza City.

Lamia Hajjah, whose family was displaced several times during the war, lost 8.5 kg and cannot walk, according to her father, Reda.

On Friday, the Classification of Integrated Food Security (IPC) raised its rating to stage 5, which is the highest and worst level in the hard food insecurity scale.

It says that the famine is confirmed in the Gaza Governorate, which includes Gaza City and its surrounding area, with the “catastrophic conditions” that are expected to expand to the monastery of the monk and Khan Yunis by the end of September.

Israel has denied that there is starvation in Gaza, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the IPC report as a “explicit lie”.
