French helicopter crew survive crash into lake

A French helicopter crew survived after the plane they were traveling in the lake crashed while trying to collect water to fight forest fires.

An eyewitness photographed the helicopter descending on the water body carrying a bowl to collect water, before it seems to lose control and end in the lake in Rosbord, northwest of France.

According to a statement issued by the local municipality, the pilot, the officer was transferred on board the helicopter, and witnessed to a local hospital, with no death.

In a statement on social media, the mayor of Rosesbord Michel Luswararn said that the authorities had taken measures to contain the risk of pollution in the lake.
