The authorities say that the first humanitarian condition of the parasitic injury that eats the body has been confirmed in the United States.
The Ministry of Health and Humanitarian Services said on Monday that the new global tumor disease (NWS) was found in a patient who returned to the United States from El Salvador. The case was confirmed on August 4.
NWS Myiasis is the parasitic infection of fly larvae, or maggots, caused by parasitic flies.
The lesion primarily affects livestock, and the authorities said that the risks to American public health were currently “very low”.
Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) worked with the Ministry of Health in Maryland to investigate the case.
HHS spokesman Andrew Nixon said it was the first humanitarian condition of NWS disease -related to travel from a state of widespread in the United States.
The destroyed lesions, which feed on living tissues, are usually found in South America and the Caribbean.
Despite the efforts made to stop its spread to the north, cases have now been confirmed in every Central America, including Mexico.
The Center for Disease Control says that humans, especially those who suffer from an open wound, are at risk of injury and are in a greater risk if they travel to these areas or if they are around livestock in rural areas where flies are.
The US Department of Agriculture Inspection at the US Department of Agriculture says it has made a partnership with other agricultural agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization to respond to the outbreak of the disease.
“When NWS flies larvae (Maggots), it is inserted into the body of a living animal, it causes serious damage, and is often fatal to the animal,” according to the US Department of Agriculture. “NWS can infect livestock, pets, wildlife and birds sometimes and in rare cases.”
The US Department of Agriculture said earlier this month that the wetter’s spread in livestock can have severe economic implications, which aims to more than 100 billion dollars (73.9 billion pounds) in the economic activity related to the cattle and livestock industry.
