Father of child killed in Minneapolis shooting speaks out

Jesse Merkel, whose eight -year -old son Fletcher was killed during the shooting of the Katholic Bosolian School on Wednesday, read a family statement outside the church targeted by the attacker.

He described his son as a loving boy who enjoyed hunting, cooking and sports.

Merkel said with tears: “We will never be allowed to keep him, talk to him, play with him and watch him grow to become the wonderful young man who was on the road to become.”
