Burnley, the English club, announced today, Friday, that it has renewed its contract with striker Ashley Barnes from Norwich City, with a contract until the end of the season.
The 35-year-old, who previously played for the Clarets between 2014 and 2023, rejoins Scott Parker’s side as they sit second in the Championship table.
They have already been promoted to the Premier League on three occasions.

“It feels great to be back home,” Barnes told Burnley’s website.
He added: “Burnley have been a big part of my life for over a decade, and I can’t wait to pull on the red shirt again.”
Barnes has scored 80 goals in the Premier League for the Lancashire club, with his best season coming in 2018-19 when he scored 12 goals.
His long-time Clarets strike partner, Chris Wood, has had a renaissance at Nottingham Forest this season, scoring 11 goals by Christmas.
Burnley faces rival Blackburn Rovers in the early start of the match on Saturday, and could be equal on points with leaders Leeds with a victory.
