BBC reports from scene as Afghanistan earthquake rescue mission gets under way

The helicopters were deployed to try to save people trapped in difficult to reach areas after a fatal earthquake in Afghanistan.

At least 800 people were killed yet 6.0 earthquake East Afghanistan struck, according to the United Nations Humanitarian Agency.
