BBC on the ground in Seoul as new president is announced

Millions voted in the Snap elections on Tuesday, which resulted in the isolation of former President Yun Suk Yol for his failed offer in the fighting law.

Kim Moon Sue of the People’s Party has admitted defeat and congratulated Lee Jay Meong, who fought these elections as a referendum on martial law-promised to make sure that this will not happen again.

The BBC’s Jean -McKinsey reports from the Democratic Party in Central Seoul, where the election results were announced.
