At least 10 die in crush outside stadium in Bengaluru, India

At least 10 people were killed in crushing stadium in the Indian city of Bangaluru, which was hosting an offer to celebrate the victory in the Indian League in the Indian League.

Thousands of people – young and old – lined up on the streets on Wednesday to welcome the royal competitors of Bengloro (RCB) who overcame the Punjab kings in the IPL Cricket Finals the day before.

“About 10 people died in the doors of the Chinasuami stadium,” said an Indian Pepr’s senior official.

When the tragedy was not opened, the doors of the stadium were not opened, “but there were so many people trying to pay a small gate that the stampede had happened,” an official said.

A police official told the BBC that there are more than 200,000 people who went out to offer victory, but they only expected half of this amount.

The RCB team arrived at a special flight at the old Hal Airport, which is received by the Deputy Prime Minister of Karnataka, DK Shivakumar. They were transferred in a procession to the hotel.

This was an introduction to the reception on the steps of the majestic Vidhana Soudha, the headquarters of the state’s legislative body, where the governor met Thawarchand Gehlot, Prime Minister Siddaraiaiyah and other ministers of the team.

Then the team was scheduled to lead, again, in a procession to the field before crushing occurred.

Before the accident, the masses of people from across the city moved towards the stadium on all transportation that wears the RCB shirts.

The metro trains were so crowded that many people – including this reporter – were unable to enter any cabin. All this while the passengers inside the train and outside chanted the team in the choir.

Car vehicles and taxis did not respond to the requests of people who want to drop it anywhere near the stadium. Those who agreed to drop the passengers several kilometers away.

After reports of people losing their lives in the spread of crushing, people began to rush to metro stations.

The authorities closed the stadiums surrounding the stadium, as the huge crowds gathered on the platforms.
