Apple to launch digital passport IDs for TSA checkpoints this fall

TECH GIANT Apple operates on the second day of five of its annual conference of developers around the world (WWDC), where ads are issued about what is in front of its devices.

One of the main ads released on Monday is that IOS users will be able to create digital definitions with their passports, which can then be used in Transport Security Administration (TSA) Local travel checkpoints.

The digital identifier feature will be available in Apple wallet Apple said this autumn when the new iPhone operating system is launched.

“It also provides an appropriate access to the most traveled information, such as maps to move in airports, find my important elements, inform the lost bags, and more,” she said.

“The digital identity is not a substitute for a financial passport, and it cannot be used for international travel and border crossing instead of an American passport,” the company said.
