England Fans won’t have to stay up all night to watch their team in the group stages World Cup After confirming the start times for the match today.
Yesterday, the Three Lions were drawn in Group L alongside Croatia, Ghana and Panama Start times have now been revealed.
Thomas Tuchel’s side will open their campaign against Croatia – the team they beat in the 2018 semi-final – in Dallas on June 17 at 4pm ET, which is 9pm UK time.
They then travel to Boston to face Ghana six days later, again at 9pm UK time.
They finish their pool matches against Panama in New Jersey on June 27, with the match kicking off at 10pm UK time.
This is not only good news for England fans, but also for pubs where fans are sure to watch the matches in groups in their local areas.
Scotland wasn’t quite so lucky. Steve Clarke’s opening match against Haiti kicks off at 2am UK time on the morning of June 14. They will face Morocco at 11pm UK time on June 19 before a thrilling clash with Brazil. That match will take place in Miami on June 24, at 11pm UK time.
The opening match of the tournament sees hosts Mexico take on South Africa on June 11. That match will start at 8pm in the UK.
