Flames and thick smoke engulf plane in Brazil after fire breaks out

Flames and plumes of smoke surrounded a domestic flight at Brazil’s Sao Paulo airport after external equipment on the runway caught fire.

Emergency personnel rushed to put out the fire outside, as passengers on board were seen crowding the aisles as they tried to leave the plane.

The fire was later brought under control, and no injuries were reported among the 169 passengers evacuated from the LATAM Airlines flight.
