BBC reports on devastation left in wake of Philippines super typhoon

Weak Typhoon Vong Wong is now passing over the South China Sea and is expected to head towards Taiwan, after killing two people in the Philippines.

More than 1 million people were evacuated in the Philippines before Phuong Wong made landfall on Sunday as a powerful typhoon packing winds of 185 kilometers per hour (115 mph) and gusts of 230 kilometers per hour (143 mph).

BBC South-East Asia correspondent Jonathan traveled to the island of Luzon and said that although the damage was much less than expected, there were concerns about rising water levels.
