Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman II told the council that Israel was “led by ariebling extremists”

The United Nations Security Council condemned Israel’s strikes on a residential complex in Doha Al -Qatari, which targeted senior members of Hamas.

The statement – which was not called Israel directly – was supported by all fifteen security council members, including the United States, which traditionally prohibits measures against its close ally.

“Members of the Council stressed the importance of canceling the escalation and expressed their solidarity with Qatar,” read the statement, which was formulated by the United Kingdom and France. Israel defended its decision to install the attack.

Qatar has played a major role in intermediate diplomatic efforts to end the Israel-Gaza war, as it worked as a mediator for indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel.

Since 2012, Hamas Political Office has hosted a close American ally, hosting a large American air base in southwestern desert.

The emergency meeting was requested by Qatar, Algeria, Pakistan and Somalia. Qatar Prime Minister Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Thani traveled to New York to attend.

“This attack puts the international community before the test,” Al Thani told the council.

“Israel, under the slow leadership of extremists, has crossed any borders, that is, restrictions when it comes to behavior. We cannot predict what Israel will do. How can we host Israeli representatives when they commit this attack?”

“It is clear that Israel, the occupied force, is determined to do everything to undermine and detonate every possibility of peace,” said Pakistan Ambassador, Ashm Efikhar Ahmed.

Meanwhile, Algerian Ambassador Ammar Bandgama said that the Security Council remained “restricted” because it “is unable to name the aggressor, to qualify the aggression as a violation of international law.”

The representative of Israel, Danny Danone, defended the attack, and told the meeting: “This strike sends a message that must be hesitant through this room. There is no haven for terrorists, not in Gaza, not in Tehran, and not in Doha.”

To issue a Security Council statement, all fifteen members must log in to the text. The United States has long statements by the Council criticizing Israel – which makes its support for this, although Israel is not noticeable.

US President Donald Trump Earlier criticized Israel’s strikesWriting this beating unilaterally within Qatar “does not strengthen the goals of Israel or America.”

However, he added that “this unfortunate incident could be a chance of peace,” and that eliminating Hamas was a “worthy goal.”

The strikes on Doha shocked many in the region, who have long assumed that close relations with the United States will provide security.

In May, Trump announced a “historic” economic agreement signed between Qatar and the United States, which he said was estimated at at least 1.2 trillion dollars (890 billion pounds).

Qatar recently lost Trump a plane – worth $ 400 million – as an “unconditional gift” to be used as the new Air Force One, the official plane of the US President.

On Friday, the United Arab Emirates (United Arab Emirates) summoned the deputy Israeli ambassador for the Israeli strike on Doha, as well as what it described as “hostile and unacceptable” by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

UAE diplomatic relations with Israel under the Ibrahim 2020 Convention, which is the United States’ average agreement that led to cooperation through a set of issues, from security to the economy.

The agreements, which were also signed by Morocco, Bahrain and Sudan, are widely considered as one of the main foreign policy achievements Donald Trump from his first term in his position.

Hamas said that Its negotiating team survived Israel’s strikes In Doha on Tuesday, but five of its members were killed, including the son of the main negotiator of the group, Khalil Al -Hayya. Qatari security officer was also killed.
