NASA has prevented the Chinese citizens with valid American visas from its facilities – a step that effectively prevents them from working in one of the most respectable space research centers.
Bloomberg News stated that Chinese citizens, who were unable to work in NASA only as contractors or students who contribute to research, had all lost access to NASA systems and facilities.
Then NASA confirmed this, saying that Chinese citizens will be limited to using “facilities, materials and networks for the agency to ensure the safety of our work.”
The accelerated space program in China led the US concern and discovered the race between the largest economy.
Chinese astronauts are already excluded from the International Space Station (ISS) because Washington has prevented NASA from sharing its data with China.
The latest restrictions from NASA only adds to a decrease in scientific cooperation between the two sides due to national security concerns.
Since it is competing for a technological feature, Beijing and Washington also grew increasingly cautiously from each other.
Doubt has made it difficult for some Chinese students, especially those who study science and technology, obtain visas, or even enter the United States, as soon as they get a visa.
There were also several cases in the United States recently of alleged espionage by Chinese citizens, and scientists have been in particular the scanner.
It is not clear how much a notice gave NASA to the Chinese citizens who were working in the agency. Bloomberg News stated that they suddenly found that they were deprived of accessing agency data systems, and they were prevented from participating in meetings related to their work – whether or virtual.
Bethani Stephens told NASA Pethani Stevens that NASA had already taken “internal measures related to Chinese citizens – including restricting material access and cybersecurity to our facilities.”
China has not hidden its space ambitions, as Bijin and Washington competed to send their crew to the moon.
“We are in the second space race at the present time,” Sean Duffy, NASA, told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday, as he talked about the discoveries of the United States on Mars.
“The Chinese want to return to the moon in front of us. This will not happen.”
The director of the Office of the Public Space Agency in China said last year that American concerns are “unnecessary”, describing the space exploration in China as a “collective mission for humanity.”
In a US Senate’s hearing last week, legislators stressed the need for the United States to put its shoes on the moon in front of China.
“China has not hidden its goals,” said Republican Senator Ted Cruz. “[If] Our opponents achieve dominant space capabilities, it will pose a deep danger to America … [the] The risks cannot be higher. “
The race is not only about reaching the moon. It also relates to those who can control his resources as soon as they are there.
The moon contains minerals, including rare Earth and minerals such as iron and titinium – and helium as well, which is used in everything from super connections to medical equipment.
