Israel has warned all the residents of Gaza City against leaving immediately in anticipation of a huge land attack.
The Arab Army spokesman told up to one million Palestinians living in the largest urban center in Gaza to evacuate in the south. “Staying in the area is very dangerous,” he said.
On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the air strikes that destroyed the tall buildings in Gaza City in recent days were only “the beginning of the main and intensive operation” to capture what he described as the last important Hamas stronghold.
Hamas said that his statements are a “general demonstration of the crime of forced displacement completely.”
It also brought Israel to conquer Gaza City international criticism.
The United Nations warned that the attack was intensified in an area where a famine has already been declared to push civilians to a “deeper disaster.”
The message was from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) – both in the publications that fell on Gaza City, and published on social media by its Arab spokesman Colonel Avichai Adri – unambiguous.
“For all residents who are present in Gaza City and all its regions, from the old city and the Toufah area in the east to the sea in the west: the Israeli Defense Army is determined to defeat Hamas and will work in Gaza City with a large design, as it was throughout the Gaza Strip,” he said. “
“For your safety, immediately evacuate,” he added.
The security cabinet in Israel approved a plan to conquer both Gaza after indirect talks with Hamas in the ceasefire and the hostage of the hostages in July.
The Israeli Defense Army was said to defeat Hamas after 23 months of war and return 48 hostages to protest by the armed group, of whom 20 are still alive.
In recent weeks, Israeli air and wild attacks on Gaza City have been intensifying.
Overnight, there were more air strikes on the buildings that the Israeli Defense Army said was used by Hamas to launch attacks against its forces.
Netanyahu said in a video clip on Monday afternoon that 50 high months have been destroyed in Gaza over the past two days.
“Now, all this is just an introduction, only the beginning of the main intensive operation – the ground penetration of our forces,” he added.
“Therefore, I take this opportunity to say to the residents of Gaza, listen to me carefully: You have been warned: Get out of there!”
Hamas said that Netanyahu’s statements were “a general demonstration of the crime of forced displacement completely, and carried out under the weight of bombing, massacres, hunger and death threats.”
Photos showed a group of people moving south along the coastal road from Gaza City, on donkeys and vehicles on Tuesday, but there was no sign of mass migration.
Hana, a mother of three children, told BBC that she did not know where her family was taking, so she was silent until she was in a “real danger”.
“If you know [somewhere to go]I was going to leave [by now] And I took my family and my children. “
Hana has lost her house in the Israeli bombing at the beginning of the war and since then she was displaced with relatives.
She said, “Nothing can describe” how she and her loved ones feel now.
Razan Salha, a student, said that she fled Gaza City two days ago because of the bombing and was now participating in a room with about 20 relatives in the center of Deir Pala.
“We moved by car at $ 375 (276 pounds),” BBC told the BBC in a voice note.
Razan said that “instability and homelessness” left “very tired,” adding: “I lost my hope.”
Last week, the United Nations agencies and their humanitarian partners said that the announcement of intensive Israeli military operations in Gaza City on August 7 was “horrific human consequences for people in displacement sites.”
They warned that many families are unable to move due to high costs and logistical challenges, as well as lack of a safe space. They said that the request of hundreds of thousands to move in the south may reach forced transport under international law.
On Sunday, they stated that more than 97,000 people had been displaced recently since August 14. But only 50,000 were observed in crossing from the north to south of Gaza, and the Israeli army has issued instructions.
The Israeli Defense Army told them to go to a newly defined “humanitarian area” in Al -Malasi.
She said that the region includes the basic infrastructure, including field hospitals and water pipelines, and that food, tents and medicine supplies will be delivered there in coordination with international organizations.
However, the Israeli forces have been bombed again and again during the war and the United Nations cannot be considered “safe”.
The United Nations has also warned that tent camps there are already crowded and that local hospitals are working several times their ability.
She has said that a limited number of tents has been delivered in recent weeks, but many thousands of displaced people are needed.
The United Nations said that Israel – which controls the Gaza border crossings – must also allow enough food and other supplies to stop the spread of starvation.
On Sunday, Tom Fletcher, the United Nations humanitarian president, warned of a narrow window until the end of September to prevent expansion to the central city or Deira Al -Bala and the southern city of Khan Yunis, and the window was “closed quickly”.
Since global food security experts who are not backed by famine in Gaza City on August 22, the Hamas -running Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that at least 121 people have passed due to hunger and malnutrition across the region.
Israel has said it expanded its efforts to facilitate the aid processes and extracted the Ministry of Health numbers over deaths related to malnutrition.
The Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas -led attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others took hostage.
At least 64,605 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health in the region.
