Pressure mounts on Bolsonaro as first of five judges finds him guilty

The first five judges of the Supreme Court to decide the fate of former Brazilian President, Jayyar Bolsonaro, found the former commander guilty of planning a coup.

But Polsonaro will not be convicted unless at least three of the five judges find him guilty.

Judge Alexander de Morais said that there was “no doubt” that there was a coup attempt after Bolsonaro lost the 2022 presidential election to his left opponent, Luiz Inosio Lula da Silva.

Morris also said that Bolsonaro led the “criminal organization” that he claimed was behind the coup attempt. Bolsonaro has denied all charges.
