Several reported killed in German train derailment

Several people were killed and at least three were wounded after the passenger train came out in southwestern Germany, and German media said the police.

The operator Deutsche said that the accident occurred “for unknown reasons” near Ridlingen near Stuttgart. Reports say there was a storm in the area shortly before.

It was about 100 people on the train when at least two vehicles were out of its path in the forest area around 18:10 local time (17:10 GMT), DPA said.

He said he was in close contact with the ministers of the interior and transportation, and asked them to provide emergency services with all the support they needed.

Crash display carts have been played on both sides and heavy emergency service. Fallen trees can also be seen at the scene.

Deutsche said that the train was on the course of 90 km (55 miles) between Sigmaringen and ULM when it went out of its path.
