Greece is fighting five major forest fires throughout the country, as officials evacuated the residents in a damaged area north of Capital City Athens.
The ongoing emergency comes amid a severe heat wave, with temperatures expected to reach up to 44C (111.2f) on Sunday.
Nikos Papanikolaou from BBC in Athens and said that the number of fires means that the firefighting service was “struggling” to distribute resources.
