Cameroon opposition leader Morris Kamto was excluded from the list of candidates in the presidential elections on October 12.
Only 13 out of 83 names were accepted to ELCAM for the country’s electoral body.
Kamto ranked second in the 2018 elections amid allegations of fraud. It has not yet commented on the decision.
President Paul Bia, 92, was included in the world’s oldest, in the list and will seek an eighth state in his post.
He says he still has a lot to make calls even though he has been in power for nearly 43 years.
BIYA will be challenged by two former allies, Issa Chiroma Bakari and Billo Buba Maearar, both of whom come from the north of the country rich in voting.
Kamto was excluded because he was one of the registered candidates to represent the Manid Party.
Although it was officially adopted by the party’s ruling body, another candidate from a group of rhetoric recorded himself under the party’s name.
The head of the mine, Anisit Ekan, described the exclusion of Kamto as “arbitrary and provocative.”
He added: “We call on all Cameroon to show calm and control because at the present time, it is just an infiltrated goal. This treatment must be approved from the back by the Constitutional Council to which we will move.”
Those who are excluded from their presidential race for two days to provide a legal challenge.
Cameroon’s Cameroon candidate (CRM) was in 2018, but the party was not allowed to support anyone this year because of his lack of elected representatives in parliament or local councils.
Kamto recently joined the Mandim Party, which has local representation.
The famous anti -corruption lawyer, Akir Mona, leader of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) Joshua Osier, and the legislator Kabral Lippie are among the other cleansed candidates.
Firebrand mayor from Foumban Patricia Tomaino Ndam Njoya is the only candidate in the list.
