Donald Trump has the first major legislative victory in his second presidency.
“The big and beautiful bill”, as he calls it, is a sprawling package that includes many main pieces in his agenda – which made promises to the campaign path.
However, it also contains the seeds of the president’s political danger and party.
Trump and his team managed to graze legislation through Congress despite the narrow majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate is not a small achievement.
His success and his allies required victory over the budget hawks within his Republican party, who were determined to reduce government spending, as well as the centers who were warning of cuts on social programs.
When this Congress session began in January, there were doubts about whether Republicans in the House of Representatives could approve the return of Congress Member Mike Johnson to the speaker’s president, not to mention the agreement on major legislation.
But they agreed that they did so – as the Republicans did in the Senate, a non -practical room.

The spending package approved by legislators directed about 150 billion dollars (110 billion pounds) in the new spending spending, detention centers and immigration enforcement employees. Other $ 150 billion was allocated to military expenses, including the “Golden Dome” missile defense program.
However, the really large numbers are in tax cuts in this legislation. They reach more than 4.5 tennis over 10 years.
Some of these discounts that were first aged in Trump’s first term, and were appointed to end before the bill has ended. Others, such as the termination of taxes on advice and additional work, were promises in the 2024 campaigns that are being implemented now but will end their validity by 2028.
All this adds to a huge new debt to the United States. The White House claims that tax cuts will stimulate economic growth, which will generate sufficient new revenues, when taking them alongside customs tariff groups.
But external projections indicate that this legislation will add more than 3 meters of new US debt.

Critics, such as the Republican Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky, indicated that the legislation raises the new debt amount that the federal government can issue by 5 meters – a step that will not be necessary if the White House really believes its budget expectations.
Paul and others, such as Tech Multibillionaire Elon Musk, warned that this huge amount of debt will increase the burden of the federal government, as interest payments collect from spending and increase interest rates. They warn against the financial account, warn.
Senator member of the legislation against the legislation, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, had a different warning to Trump and his party. In a fiery speech on the floor of the room, the president accused of violating a promise of those who supported him-indicating the draft discounts of about US dollars to Medicaid, a health insurance program run by the government for low-income Americans.
He said: “The Republicans are about to make a health care error and betrayal of promise,” declaring that more than 660,000 people in North Carolina will leave.
A year after Trump has sorted with the American -class Americans, including minority voters who traditionally supported opposition Democrats, his legislation will lead to a loss of nearly 12 million Americans in covering medical aid in the next ten years, according to the non -party congress budget office.
Democrats are already preparing an attack from the attacks against Republicans, as they say it is legislation that reduces social service in order to provide tax cuts to the wealthy Americans.
Although these cuts will not come into effect until after the congressional elections in the next year, Democrats will try to remind American voters about the consequences that Republicans have taken over the past few weeks.
Trump prepares what should be the signing ceremony of the celebration bill on July 4 – the American Independence Day – and will describe it as his ability to rule not only through the executive order, but also through enacting a new law.
But the battle for the definition of benefits – and the consequences – in this draft law just began.
