Police search derelict and desolate area

The BBC’s Lagos Maki Reports near Braia da Luz, Portugal, where the Portuguese and German police continue to search for Madeleine McCann.

As Maki says, “The Clock Rings” says Investigators who only have until Friday To search via a 21 square kilometer site (8.1 square miles) between the place where a young child disappeared and where the main suspect of German investigators, Christian Brookner, resides at that time.

The 48 -year -old suspect is serving a prison sentence in Germany for raping a 72 -year -old American tourist in Portugal in 2005, yet he can be released early in September.

Madeleine was three years old when she was lost in 2007, while she was on vacation with her family in Al -Gharf.
