Floyd Shivambu condemned for visiting fugitive pastor

A senior official in one of the largest political parties in South Africa was convicted of visiting a sponsor who was self -who fled to Malawi after being accused of rape and fraud.

Last month, a court in Malawi supported the request for delivery, but Mr. Bushery and his wife Mary, who faces fraud charges, filed an appeal.

“He will encourage those who think they can escape accountability.”

The Chevambo MK party also issued a statement of his visit to his visit, saying that he had made it “in his personal capacity and without authorization or knowledge of the party.”

The party added that “it condemns all forms of gender -based violence and the exploitation of weak societies, especially innocent Christian believers, by individuals who manipulate faith for personal enrichment or evading justice.”

In a publication on X on Saturday, Shivambo praised Mr. Bushery for his “good work.”

“Thank you, my brother, the Prophet Bushery for hosting us and the kind words,” he wrote.

“The governmental measure of the work it does in an economic, educational, social and spiritual point of view is that our people are unparalleled now and in history.

“I know that the leadership and people of Malawi are appreciated and cherished by many huge programs that people are making on the ground.”

He republished footage shared by Mr. Bushery, who showed the priest who announced himself asking for hundreds of worshipers in the Jesus Church, welcoming the Southern African politician.

Under the leadership of former President Zuma, the newly formed MK party ranked third in the elections last year – a major factor in the African National Congress Party, which has lost its majority for the first time since the democratic elections were held in 1994.

Shevambo joined the party in August last year of competitors’ economic fighters (EFF) and was later appointed Secretary -General – one of the best positions of the party.
