
Richard Chamberlain, the actor who was famous for his role in the medical drama in the 1960s.
Chamberlain won the title “King of the Mini-Series” for its leading roles in Shogun and Thorn Birds.
He died late Saturday night local time (10:15 GMT on Sunday) in Waymanalo, Hawaii, after suffering complications from a stroke.
Martin Rabbett, Chamberlain’s long -term partner, called it “amazing and loving spirit” in a statement.

He said: “Our beloved Richard with angels now. He is free and high for these loved ones in front of us.”
The rabbi added: “Love never dies. Our love under his wings, and raised it to his next great adventure.”
Chamberlain’s great break came in 1961, when it became a familiar name as Dr. James Kelder in Dr. Kelder.
The show, which was based on a series of films in the thirties of the twentieth century and the forties, attracted millions of viewers, and turned Chamberlain into a pioneer, loved and teenager.
The popularity of Dr. Kelder Ernet Chamberlain means that, for three consecutive years between 1963 and 1965, the most popular male star was named by Photoplay.

He did not publicly address his sexual life until the launch of his shattered memoirs, in 2003, when he revealed that he was gay.

Throughout his 30 -year relationship with the actor the rabbi engine, he kept their private life.
In his memoirs, he recalled the accompaniment of glamorous actresses to present the first show, explaining that he was “desperately afraid” whose sexual life would present his career.
“I used to be chased by hot teenage girls,” he said once for a TV guide. “I got 12,000 fans a week. I felt somewhat trapped.”
Rabbi and Chamberlain separated in 2010, but they remained soon.
Chamberlain was born on March 31, 1934 in Beverly Hills, California, originating from what he called “the wrong side of Welshire Street” – away from the wealth of the Hollywood region set with stars.
He was the youngest boys, his father Charles as a seller and his mother, Elsa, is a housewife.
He initially studied drawing at Pomona College, but the performance of the student theater inspired him to continue acting.
Attention was suspended from the scouts in Hollywood while formulating in the US military, as it rose to the rank of sergeant during a focus in South Korea.
Upon his return to California, Chamberlain took chapters in acting, where several small TV roles fell before his role in collapsing as Dr. Kilder.
Years later, Chamberlain was reflected in his past in his memoirs, while recounting the emotional burden and misuse of his childhood, and it is no longer forced to hide his sexual life.
